ALLIANCE HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The Alliance High School Foundation currently administers funds for a family of scholarship funds, listed below that are awarded annually to Alliance High School graduating seniors to assist them in continuing their education. The three AHS Foundation and several named scholarships are presented to multiple recipients.
The majority of the scholarships are chosen by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee. Awards are based on academic achievement, teacher evaluations, financial need, extra-curricular activities and community service. The remaining scholarships are awarded by individual committees named by the original donors of the funds and are so noted on the descriptions of each scholarship. Also noted are scholarships that focus additional requirements on specific areas, such as mathematics, music, athletics, community service, etc.
The Elvin J. Wilson scholarship is an additional scholarship that is affiliated with the AHS Foundation, but is privately funded and awarded to a graduating senior who has met the entrance requirements and is enrolling at Duke University.
Additionally, the Alliance High School Foundation provides a monetary award annually to each student in the top 10% of the graduating class.
