Madeline Montavon Wright Memorial Scholarship
The Montavon Family established the Madeline Montavon Wright Memorial Scholarship in 2020 in honor of their daughter. Maddi was a beloved math teacher at Alliance High School for five years until an auto accident ended her life in December 2019.
Maddi was an inspiration to her students, creating lasting bonds and a positive impact on each one. Her passion was teaching and it showed in her dedication to helping each and every student succeed. If a student was struggling with math, she was right there to help them learn, understand and grow.
Her legacy of helping students to succeed will continue into the future with the establishment of this memorial scholarship.
Originally from the Dayton area, Maddi was born to Robert and Christine Montavon. She graduated from Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio in 2010 and from Bowling Green State University in 2014. Bowling Green is where she met the love of her life, Gage Wright, who she married in 2018. She resided in Hartville with her husband at the time of her passing.
Beginning in January 1, 2022 the Montavon Family has chosen to transfer the administration of the Madeline Montavon Wright Memorial Scholarship Fund to the AHS Foundation. The AHS Math Department will advise the Foundation on the annual selection of a recipient to receive a $1,000.00 award.
