TONY KING AHS Class of 1962
Tony King is a 1962 graduate of Alliance High School where he played football, basketball and track. In his senior season he was named All-State and All-County for football. He went on to play college and professional football. King was named an All-American in 1964 when he played for Findlay College. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills (AFL) in 1965 and spent the next seven years with several professional teams, including the New York Giants. In 1973, King retired from the Giants organization. After leaving the football ranks, King did some modeling and acting. He appeared in twenty-four films and nine television shows. In addition, he opened his own acting school in 1985 in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was awarded the Key to the City in 1980. He has starred in at least fourteen commercials, for such products as Coca Cola, Kodak, Lee Jeans, Oldsmobile, General Electric and AT&T. King is married, has two children, and resides in Los Angeles. |
