STUART TOLLE AHS Class of 1980
Stuart Tolle, a 1980 graduate of Alliance High School, was a star in football, wrestling and track for the Aviators. In football, he was a two-year letter winner and All-Ohio linebacker. In wrestling, he finished with a 66-11 record and was a state qualifier as a heavyweight. In track at AHS, he was a two-year numeral-winner and a regional qualifier in the shot put. Tolle went on to play football for four years at Bowling Green State University at defensive tackle and was a two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection. He was a member of the 1982 MAC championship football team with the Falcons. He also wrestled as a freshman at BGSU. Following graduation from Bowling Green, he was signed as a free-agent by the Cleveland Browns and later was signed by the Arizona Outlaws of the USFL and the Detroit Lions. Stuart Tolle, who lives in Akron, is a biology teacher and varsity football and track coach at Copley High School. |
