RON KUCEYESKI AHS Class of 1972
This 1972 AHS graduate earned three letters in football, two letters in wrestling and one numeral in both baseball and track. Ron Kuceyeski was All-State Honorable Mention, First Team All-American Conference, All-County and All-Northeast Ohio District in football during his senior year. Ron attended Northwestern University of a full athletic scholarship. He was a two-year starter on the offensive line and earned three letters. He was a two-year selection to the All-Big Ten Conference Academic Team. Ron signed a free-agent contract to play for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League in 1976 before returning to Alliance the next year where he has remained as a health and physical education and Quest instructor. Kuceyeski has coached wrestling, swimming and football for the Aviators, serving as the head coach of the football team in 1993-1994. He presently serves as defensive line coach at Mount Union College. He founded the Aviators Sport Network and was a co-founder of the Len Dawson Celebrity Golf Tournament. He has served on several boards and community service organizations, including many that deal with prevention of drug and alcohol abuse. Ron is married to Kathleen Ann Kuceyeski, a teacher at Liberty Elementary School. They have two children. |
