REBECCA BLASER GRINCH AHS Class of 1998
Rebecca Blaser Grinch was a three sport athlete for the Aviators. She earned four letters each in soccer and basketball and three letters in track. Becky was a four time All-Federal League first team selection in soccer, serving as team captain for three years and leading the team in scoring three times. She ranks first all-time for AHS soccer in nine statistical categories: most points (career, season and game), most goals (career, season and game) and most assists (career, season and game). In basketball, Grinch was named All-Ohio Honorable Mention and first team All- Federal League her senior season. She served as basketball team captain for two years and ranks sixth all time at AHS for career scoring with 603 points. After high school, she attended Mount Union College earning her Middle Childhood Education Degree in 2002. While at Mount Union; Becky played soccer for four years and served as an assistant coach for a season. She was an All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection four times, earning first team honors in 2001. She is the second leading career scorer at Mount Union with eighty-four points. Becky married Mount Union graduate Alex Grinch and now resides in Columbia, Missouri, attending the University of Missouri Graduate School. |
