PAUL ROTH AHS Class of 1925
Paul “Tiny” Roth lettered in basketball, football and track. In 1924 he scored 342 points to average 14 per game. In the 24 games that year, the combined opposition only scored 352 points. Roth was known for his uncanny ability to score in critical stages of close ball games. Roth proceeded to Ohio Wesleyan University, class of 1929, and lettered in basketball. From Ohio Wesleyan, Paul went to Detroit College of Law, class of 1938, and was honored there in 1963 by serving as Dean of the Alumni Senate. Form 1929-1938, Paul Roth was employed by the Detroit Edison Company, and his employer from 1938-1941 was General Electric. He has been a Manufacturer’s Representative in Electrical Equipment since 1951. Mr. Roth is now a member of the Detroit Olympic-Swimming Committee and Interclub Swimming Association, comprised of Yacht Clubs and Golf Clubs in the Detroit District. Our inductee was president of this association in 1957, and Commodore of the Detroit Yacht Club in 1962. |
