Mark Black lettered in football and basketball. In football he was voted Honorable Mention All Ohio, All Northeast Ohio Inland District, All Stark County, All Federal League, All Canton Repository, and All Alliance Review. He was the team captain of the 1992 football team. After high school, Mark played football at Mount Union College. At Mount Union Mark was a two time national champion. He was selected to the All OAC team three times. Mark was also the 1997 Lee Tressel Award winner as the OAC’s top defensive back.
