JOHN KLUSCH AHS Class of 1934
John Klusch is a 1934 graduate of Alliance High School and a lifetime resident of the city. He played on the undefeated 1932 AHS football team. John is one of the greatest supporters ever of Alliance High School athletics. He co-founded the East Ohio Machinery Company in 1949 and was founder, president and treasurer of Alliance Technical Steel Services Inc. from 1990-1998. Mr. Klusch is co-founder of the AHS Foundation and co-founder and director of the Len Dawson/Mel Knowlton Scholarship Foundation which raises $12,000 - $15,000 each year in scholarship money. He was a committee member of the former Len Dawson Celebrity Golf Classic and was chairman of the Hot Stove League Committee which located and purchased land for the baseball fields at Butler-Rodman Park, while raising donations of $80,000 to secure a matching fund grant. For 25 years he served as president, secretary and director of the original AHS Booster Club and president and director of the Alliance Hot Stove League. He and his wife, Roene, live in Alliance. |
