JASON BUTCHER AHS Class of 1998
Jason Butcher is a 1998 graduate of AHS. He won nine varsity letters, three in cross country, four in track and two in swimming. As a member of the cross country team, he was a 1996 state qualifier and, in 1996 and 1997, was a regional qualifier. Jason was First Team All-Federal League in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and First Team All-Stark County in 1996 and 1997. As a member of the AHS swim team, Jason made All-Federal League in diving in 1998. On the track, Jason was a state qualifier in 1998 at 800 meters and also a member of the state qualifying 4 X 800 meter relay team for the Aviators. He broke AHS’s 18-year-old 800 meter record with a time of 1:56.7. After graduation, Jason continued his athlete career in track and cross country at Malone College. He graduated from Malone College in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Jason and his wife, Jennifer Wollam Butcher ‘98, live in Alliance with their two children. He is currently employed at Hill’s Heating. |
