JAN KEHRES DARTT AHS Class of 2004
Jan Kehres was a three-sport star for the Aviators in volleyball, basketball and track. Regarded as one of the best female athletes ever to grace the halls for Alliance High School, Kehres earned countless honors, including All-Ohio, All-Stark County, All-NBC and All District in volleyball. Jan was a player that opposing teams had trouble matching up with because of her tremendous talent, coupled with a burning desire to win and her leadership abilities. Kehres was also a standout in girls’ basketball for the Aviators and led AHS in scoring. She earned Al Northeast Buckeye Conference honors in basketball as well. In girls’ track, Kehres qualified for the Division I Fitch Regional on numerous occasions in the middle distance races. Upon graduation from AHS she attended Wittenberg University where she earned her degree. She starred in volleyball for the Tigers and earned multiple all-conference honors and national NCAA honors. In 2007, her Wittenberg team finished with an outstanding 38-1 record, making it to the NCAA Volleyball Division III Final Four. She finished Physician Assistant School at Kettering College in Dayton and began working in the Pittsburg area. Jan worked in Butler, PA, and has recently moved back to the Alliance area. She has accepted a position with Youngstown Orthopedics Associates and works as a Physician’s Assistant in orthopedic spine service. |
