ERIC RICHMOND AHS Class of 1998
Eric Richmond earned eight letters in three sports as an Aviator. He was named Male Athlete of the Year in 1998. In cross country, he was a two-time All-Federal League honoree and qualified for the state meet as a member of the 3200 meter relay team in track. In swimming, Richmond earned four letters and was a three-time all-league honoree. He won four sectional championships and set three sectional records. He also holds five AHS records, in the 200 individual medley, the 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and the 200 freestyle relay. Eric went on to star at John Carroll University where he earned a degree in finance, while earning ten individual Ohio Athletic Conference titles. He was named OAC Swimmer of the Year twice. He was part of eleven relay team titles and was All- OAC in twenty-seven of twenty-eight events. He holds three OAC records and five John Carroll records and attained national qualifying times on six occasions. Eric was a three time All-American and earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors. Eric is employed as a financial analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. |
