Dennis Clunk was instrumental in the construction and development of athletic facilities in Alliance City and Alliance High School. Dennis championed the construction of Early Hill Park, Alliance High School baseball and softball fields, and the Rockhill soccer field and fieldhouse. Dennis also founded Project 2000 which managed the construction of the Marc Anderson Indoor Athletic Facility. ​
