CORNELL HOLOWAY AHS Class of 1984
An outstanding football player for Alliance High School, Cornell Holloway was a member of the school’s 10-0 Federal League championship team that advanced to the post-season playoff action in 1983. During his years at AHS, he lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track. He continued his education at Snow Junior college in Utah where he played cornerback on the team that won the Junior College National Championship in 1985. He won the All-Western State Conference Award. The following year he graduated with an associate’s degree in General Education. Cornell went on to the University of Pittsburgh on an athletic scholarship and earned a degree in economics. He played in the team’s Blue Bonnet Bowl game in 1987 and the Blue-Gray game in 1988. In 1989, he was drafted into the NFL by the Cincinnati Bengals in the tenth round. He was later picked up by the Indianapolis Colts where he played from 1989-1992. During this time he earned “Player of the Game” honors. In 1993 he completed his professional career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He began his business career in 1994 by founding Quality Commercial Cleaning, Inc., nestled in the mountains around Pittsburgh. |
