CHUCK LARSUEL AHS Class of 1971
Outstanding in football, basketball and track, Chuck Larsuel is regarded as one of AHS’s finest athletes. He won two varsity letters in football and basketball. In football, he was named to second-team All-America Conference and third-team All NEO District. He scored 16 touchdowns during his athletic career at AHS and led the Aviators in rushing and receiving. In track, he set numerous records in sprint-related events. He tallied twenty-four (24) points individually at the 1971 state track meet. Larsuel continued his academic and athletic career at Mount Union College where he was an Ohio Athletic Conference individual track champion eighteen (18) times. Chuck was listed as an All-American in three events during his track career with the Purple Raiders. After graduating from Mount Union, he ran track in Columbus for the Ohio Track Club, the Capital City Comets, the Blue Ribbon Track Club of Cleveland and the Akron Striders. He earned his master’s degree in administration from the University of Dayton. A former teacher in the Canton City Schools, he is now assistant principal at Alliance High School. He and his wife, Sandy Gibson Larsuel, have three daughters. |
