Michael Murray had an illustrious career for the Aviators basketball program. During his standout career at AHS, he earned 1st Team All Stark County, 1st Team District 4, and 1st Team All Federal League honors. He remains the Alliance all-time career leader in free throws made and ranks second for most three-pointers in a single season, cementing his place among the program’s greats.
Michael continued his basketball journey at the University of Mount Union, where he was a four-year letter winner and became the school’s career assists leader. Following his playing career, Michael transitioned into coaching and has built an exceptional legacy as the head basketball coach at Rocky River High School. With more than 350 varsity wins, he has been recognized as GCBCA Coach of the Year twice and earned Conference Coach of the Year honors seven times. |
